About The Animal Olympics
Welcome to The Animal Olympics, where the stadium is full, the banners are waving and creatures from far and wide are ready to compete.
There is running, jumping, lifting, swimming and plenty of unexpected chaos along the way. The cheetah may be fast, the lion may be strong and the dolphin may be graceful — but in these games, things do not always go to plan.
This lively rhyming picture book is packed with animal action, funny sporting mishaps and bright illustrations. Children will love cheering on the competitors, spotting the surprises and finding out who wins each event.
Perfect for sporty children, animal lovers and families who enjoy energetic read-aloud stories, The Animal Olympics brings big laughs, big action and a whole stadium full of fun. The story opens with creatures gathering from far away for the Animal Olympics, then moves through comic sporting events including a race where the favourite cheetah slips and the slow skipping sheep wins.
